YOU CAN COME TO THE FEATHER...OR THE FEATHER CAN COME TO YOU!
LIVE BIRD PROGRAMS
These presentations are offered to public, private, home-school groups, camps, churches, civic groups, bird clubs, scouts, and all who are interested. The programs are "up close and personal". The birds make learning a personal experience and are the best way to present wildlife education.
On-site programs include a tour of the facilities, lessons on the natural history of the many different species of raptors, and close up encounters with our residents. Most of the display area is home to the resident birds that were injured and unable to safely return to the wild. These birds are the ambassadors for their wild cousins. They teach us all how humans interfere with the environment, sometimes without even realizing the extent.
The off-site programs are given anywhere within a 50 mile radius of New London, Wisconsin.
Costs vary with the size of the group and the length of the program. You can have an individual program or a pass by. A pass by would be an outing at a nature center, etc where we are there for a few hours to answer questions, and display the birds. An individual program is usually 1 hour plus, to a group on a smaller scale, at a set time.
